Michelle Burd PhD      Principal & Owner

Michelle has more than 20 years of experience in research and evaluation. With 8 years at the Austin Independent school District, Michelle honed skills in project management and client relations while producing award-winning evaluation.  As leader of Burd's Eye View, she communicates discoveries openly with agency staff and maintains continual contact throughout projects. Her evaluations concentrate on science, mathematics, engineering, and technology (STEM) initiatives, informal learning, teacher quality, and organization change.  Michelle's systematic approach and insightfulness are invaluable assets when programs plan to improve effectiveness. First make sense of the program, then devise realistic solutions that make a difference in people's lives.

Beth Johnson PhD       Evaluation Consultant

Beth Johnson has over 15 years of research and program evaluation experience. she received her PhD in Child Development and Family Relationships from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000. Since then, she has worked as an independent consultant providing external evaluations services to schools and community organizations. her evaluation practice includes work on early intervention, literacy, youth development, parenting, museum outreach, informal learning, and professional development. She applies both quantitative and qualitative methods, working collaboratively to design and implement evaluation focused on user needs.    (resume)
